The Czech government has approved a proposal to introduce digital receipts!
A few days ago, the government of the Czech Republic approved a business package that includes a plan to introduce digital receipts. The introduction of digital receipts into practice is undoubtedly the way the state should go - it will save thousands of tons of paper per year and make document management more efficient for consumers and businesses.
According to the proposal, when making purchases in a shop, customers should only receive a paper receipt on explicit request, otherwise they would receive it electronically. A digital receipt could be obtained via an app, email or QR code in a uniform format for all traders.
As members of the Digital Receipt Association(https://www.isdu.cz), we welcome this step and hope that it will not be too long from the government approval to the entry into force of the relevant legislation!
